Katrina Smulan

Katrina is a graduate of Olds College. She obtained a diploma in Equine Business Management and Groom School certification. While horses may have been her first love, the equine industry has been hard hit with the recession, and Katrina looked to other animal-focused career opportunities. This led to worked in veterinary clinics as a Veterinary Medical Receptionist and as a Veterinary Assistant where her customer service and communication skills shone!

Katrina has shown initiative in wanting to learn more about dog food and nutrition, and subsequently completed a number of different programs offered by pet food companies in order to learn more about this subject and be able to discuss pet foods with customers. To add to her list of personal accomplishments and characteristic, she has also taken on the raising of her younger sister.

When not working, Katrina enjoys spending time with her husband and family, working with horses, looking after her own pets and reading.
