Candace Emerson, B.Kin

Candace obtained her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2008. Candace has always demonstrated great interest in the world of canine companions. She currently volunteers with the dog etiquette class, Clever Canines, and is continually seeking ways to increase her knowledge in dog behavior and mentality, as well as in canine fitness and rehabilitation. She is also a long time dog owner and currently owns a three year old Sheltie named Cali. Candace and Cali are newcomers to the agility world, and are excited to continue their training in this sport. Candace joined The Canine Fitness Centre Ltd. in 2007, where she is in charge of performing the underwater treadmill programs in dogs, both for rehabilitation and for fitness purposes. The Canine Fitness Centre will be without Candace for a couple of years as she has just begun her Masters degree in Physiotherapy through the University of Alberta. Upon graduation, she plans to divide her professional interests between the human and the canine patients.
